"When will the war end?" Zelenska admitted how often she sees her husband and how she answers her son's painful question

Zelenska admitted how often she sees her husband

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska has admitted that due to constant overlaps in meetings and events, she has a "parallel life" with her husband, President Volodymyr Zelensky, even when traveling together. The children also rarely see their father. This is probably why they cannot wait for the end of Russia's war against Ukraine.

In an interview with journalist Piers Morgan on YouTube during a business trip to the UK, Olena Zelenska said that her children constantly ask her about the end of the war, and she has no idea what to say to them, because no one knows even an approximate date.

"Everything is on pause. No days off, no rest. Everyone is thinking about the war. My son always says... And it's very difficult to answer all children, including my children, when your child asks: "When will the war end, can you tell me?" And there is no such answer, and it is difficult," the first lady said.

In particular, she noted that her children, 19-year-old Oleksandra and 11-year-old Kyrylo, rarely see their father, the president, due to a lack of free time. "About once a week. We can meet for a few hours. Sometimes a little less when he has other meetings," the first lady said.

She noted that she tries to create comfortable living conditions for the children. According to Zelenska, Oleksandra "studies at the university and has friends," and her younger son "goes to school," although the education is now in a remote format, which does not satisfy either Zelenska or other parents.

However, she sees her husband more often than her children, although she calls their family life "parallel."

"I can see him sometimes in the presidential office because I have my own office. Sometimes I can call him. And if he is not busy, I can go to his office and meet him, but not always. Our calendars don't match. If he has time to talk to me, I don't have time to talk to him. And yesterday we couldn't call each other because he called me three times. And I was in meetings. And then I started calling. And he was busy. He couldn't answer. So we have parallel lives. But it's normal," the first lady said.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that during the same trip to the UK, Olena Zelenska met with Queen Camilla. The first lady thanked her for supporting Ukraine and kissed her in a gentle embrace.
