On March 2, 2021, Zelensky received his first injection of the Indian vaccine against the coronavirus CovieShield. The decision to vaccinate was made amid rumors of a poor-quality vaccine and to show Ukrainians the importance of vaccination against coronavirus.

In November 2020, the president had coronavirus. The illness became known on November 9. He was treated at the Feofania hospital. On November 23, Zelensky himself reported that he had received a negative test for the coronavirus.

95 Kvartal of Vladimir Zelenski

Studio "Kvartal 95" was founded by Vladimir Zelensky in 2003 on the basis of the KVN team of the same name.

Initially, the studio created content for the broadcast of the TV channel "Inter". These were the projects "Evening Quarter", as well as "Ridiculous Comedian" and "Evening Kiev".

But in 2012, "Inter" broke a contract with "Kvartal" and the studio began working with the TV channel "1 +1".

In total, Zelensky studio has more than two dozen TV projects besides the famous "Evening Block". Separately, there are especially popular ones:

The studio is also engaged in the production of television series, TV movies and movies. Their most popular product in this segment is the TV series "Servant of the People" about the new Ukrainian president Vasily Goloborodko, in the past - an ordinary history teacher. Also of particular note:

  • The animated series "Fairytale Russia".

  • The movie "Me, You, He, She".

  • TV series "Matchmakers " - from 2017 to 2019, its show was banned in Ukraine.

Personal life

Vladimir Zelensky is married. His wife is Elena Zelenskaya. The couple is raising a daughter Alexandra and a son Kirill.

Presidential elections in Ukraine

On December 2, 2017, the party "Servant of the People" was officially registered in Ukraine.

After that, rumors about Zelensky's nomination as a presidential candidate in Ukraine had been circulating for several years. However, Vladimir Zelensky himself preferred to guffaw without giving a specific answer.

In the end, Zelenski announced his nomination during his New Year's address to Ukrainians on the 1+1 TV channel, which displaced the speech of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. The management of the channel "1+1" explained such actions by the fact that listening to the president at the chime of the clock is "a Soviet tradition, and now it's time for new opportunities."

On January 21, 2019, the party "Servant of the People" officially nominated Vladimir Zelensky as a candidate for president of Ukraine.

Vladimir Zelensky conducted his election campaign under the slogan "Ze!" and the motto "Zrobimo tse once!"

At the end of the first round of elections, April 4, 2019, the CEC of Ukraine processed 100% of the votes. As a result, Vladimir Zelensky took first place in the first round, receiving 30.24% of the votes.

According to the results of the second round of elections, Volodymyr Zelensky gained 73.22% of the total number of votes and defeated Petro Poroshenko.

The inauguration of Volodymyr Zelensky took place on May 20, 2019. Having taken the oath and received state titles and symbols, Volodymyr Zelensky became the president of Ukraine.

In the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which were held in July 2019, Vladimir Zelensky's party "Servant of the People" won, taking first place by the number of votes and actually gathered a monocoalition in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

President Vladimir Zelensky's policies

Cars with Euro number plates

Vladimir Zelensky initiated a bill that will postpone the introduction of fines for drivers on "Euro-numbers" until the end of 2019. This will be the "last postponement," after which everyone who does not register a car will have to pay fines.

"Killing Naftogaz."

Vladimir Zelensky's team said that large state-owned monopoly companies should be divided up and sold off piecemeal. NAK Naftogaz and Ukrzaliznytsia were cited as examples.

"Zelensky Jew": the most popular questions about the president

Every day people are looking for different information about Vladimir Zelensky on the network. OBOZREVATEL collected here the most unusual requests:

  • Is Zelensky Jewish? A number of media outlets, including those in Israel, indeed call Vladimir Zelensky a Ukrainian Jew. In particular, The Times of Israel published the answer of the head of the United Jewish Community of Ukraine, Michael Tkach, to this question. Tkach stated that the Ukrainian president's mother is Jewish, but that Zelensky himself is not a practicing Jew and is married to a woman who is not Jewish.

  • Zelensky kicked out who? And also a related, equally popular search for "out, outlaw." At a meeting with Boryspil officials and members of the Kiev OGA, in July 2019, Vladimir Zelensky kicked out City Secretary Yaroslav Godunok, while calling him a robber.

  • Did Zelensky die in a traffic accident? This query popped up in search engines in July 2019, when the presidential motorcade was involved in an accident - a Volkswagen Transporter minibus, in which personnel of the State Guard Department were returning from a business trip to the place of permanent deployment in Kiev, collided with a bus with children. Zelensky himself was not there, of course, but the media started spreading unconfirmed information about the accident, putting this query into Google trends.

  • Was Zelensky in the army? This question was raised in the information space more than once. The Ukrainian leader was accused of allegedly dodging the military draft, including during the so-called "waves of mobilization" during the escalation of the situation in Donbass. One thing is certain: Vladimir Zelensky did not serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
