Pavel Durov, founder and CEO of the popular Telegram messenger, was spotted in the company of 30 Seconds to Mars musician Jared Leto. The male duo was spotted in the French capital, Paris, having a candlelit dinner in a luxury restaurant.

The photo, which appeared on one of the artist's fan accounts on the social network X, shows the businessman and the actor sitting together at a remote table near the wall. For their public appearance, they preferred monochromatic black outfits.

Pavel Durov and Jared Leto have known each other since 2015. Back then, 30 Seconds to Mars came to St. Petersburg for a concert, and after the show, the singer spent time with the programmer. At that time, the businessman was the director of the Russian social network VK, so he organized a tour of the company's headquarters for the performer.

It is worth noting that the founder of Telegram has been in France for a long time. The fact is that on August 24, 2024, the businessman was arrested at the Paris airport for "refusing to cooperate with law enforcement agencies." In addition, Durov was accused of promoting terrorism, drug trafficking, fraud, money laundering, selling stolen goods, and sexual offenses against children using his messenger tools.

On August 28, the entrepreneur was released from custody. Durov was released on bail of 5 million euros but was forbidden to leave the country until the investigation was completed.

For a long time, the programmer did not comment on his arrest, but on September 5, he got in touch. On his personal Telegram channel, he posted a message stating that if a country is dissatisfied with an Internet service, it is common practice to launch a lawsuit against the service itself, not its head. A month later, Pavel Durov announced that his girlfriend Yulia Vavilova had lost a child due to his arrest in France. According to the businessman, this happened because his girlfriend was under "enormous pressure."

However, unlike Durov, Jared Leto is enjoying his stay in Paris. On his social media, the artist shares pictures of the city's sights. However, it is not surprising that the performer decided to meet with the programmer during his vacation, as he has been showing his love for Russians for a long time.

For example, during a performance by 30 Seconds to Mars in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, Leto said that he wanted to go on a tour of several major cities in Russia and appear in Kyiv. He asked how many Serbs and Russians were in the audience. When he asked about Russian citizens, the audience became very loud, so the artist realized that there were many more. So he spoke up: "I felt a lot of Russian energy around me. And here's what I'll tell you: one day, when all these problems are over, we will meet you in your homeland. We'll go back to Serbia, we'll go to St. Petersburg, Moscow, we'll stop by Kyiv. We will hang out and have fun. This is how it should be."

In 2025, after the BAFTA 2025 awards ceremony, where the film about the war in Ukraine, "Rock, Paper, Scissors," won, Jared Leto decided to draw attention to Russian actors. He posted a photo with Russians Yura Borisov and Mark Eydelshteyn, who played the main roles in the movie "Anora."
