"Disrespect for our country!" Russians were not allowed to attend the European Championships, causing hysteria in Russia

Oleksandr ChekanovNews

The organizers of the European Canoeing Championships in Racice, Czech Republic, refused to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate. Representatives of the aggressor country were categorically refused to attend the competition, as national federations are allowed to decide on their participation.

Secretary General of the Russian Canoe Federation Yelena Iskhakova said this in a comment to the propaganda news agency TASS. "There are countries where we are ready to be accepted in one city, but not in another. As for the European Championships in Racice, Czech Republic, Russian and Belarusian athletes are not expected there. In general, according to our information, there are two countries that actively oppose and do not agree to host Russians and Belarusians: the Czech Republic and Germany," the official said.

This decision caused the expected hysterical outpouring in Russia. Famous figure skating coach Tatyana Tarasova was outraged by the Czechs' move and demanded respect for the aggressors.

"We can appeal to a higher authority, the International Olympic Committee, for example, to put an end to this. This is disrespect for the representatives of our country," she said.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the president of the International Federation of Athletics (World Athletics) Sebastian Coe answered the question whether he would pick up the phone if Vladimir Putin called him.
