Ukraine successfully uses domestic UAV with a range of 1000 km - Ukroboronprom

Ukroboronprom announces successful use of UAVs with a range of 1000 km

The state-owned concern Ukroboronprom has successfully deployed a new drone. Its range is about 1,000 km.

The launch of the drone was attended by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi. This was reported by Ukroboronprom spokeswoman Natalia Sad, who posted a photo with the commander-in-chief after the successful use of the UAV.

Sad posted the photo, which shows, among others, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, the Commander of the Air Force of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk and the Director General of Ukroboronprom Yuriy Husyev. In the photo, all those present are clearly very pleased.

The Ukroboronprom spokeswoman explained the reasons for the good mood.

"After the successful use of our drone at 1000 km," she wrote.

Sad did not specify where the successful use was made. So Ukrainians in the comments began to put forward their own assumptions. In particular, they recalled the explosion at the Tambov Powder Plant, which took place in Russia on the afternoon of 20 June. At least 4 workers were killed and 12 others were injured.

As a reminder, in January 2023, Ukroboronprom successfully tested a Ukrainian attack drone with a range of 1,000 km. It can carry a payload of up to 75 kg.

And in early June, Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov spoke about Ukrainian missiles with a range of 1,000 km. According to him, funds have already been allocated to implement the programme. Ukrainian manufacturers are the ones who will implement the programme.
