"The occupiers suffered painful losses": Zelenskyy listens to Syrskyi's report on the situation on the battlefield and the results of strikes on Crimea

On Thursday, April 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the military command of the Defense Forces. In particular, he listened to a report by Chief Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi on the current situation on the battlefield and the results of the strike on Russian targets in Crimea.

The Head of State noted that the occupiers had suffered painful losses. He wrote about it on his Telegram channel.

"Daily report on the security situation in Ukraine. Reports on the receipt of equipment and ammunition. Distribution of combat and reserve brigades," the president said.

Zelenskyy also said that the share of domestic production is constantly growing.

According to him, the state enters into serious and long-term contracts with our enterprises, which provides predictability, the ability to increase staff and attract investment. This month, our industry is producing 10 Bogdan cars for the first time, and this volume will continue to grow in May and beyond.

"There was a report by Chief Commander Syrskyi on the current situation on the battlefield and the results of the strike on Russian targets in Crimea," he added.

The President clarified that the final data is still expected, but it is already clear that the occupiers have suffered serious losses. According to intelligence, after the actions of Ukrainian defenders in the Black Sea, Russia moved ships, including "caliber" carriers, to the Caspian Sea.

In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the completion of a search and rescue operation in Chernihiv and the elimination of the consequences of nighttime drone attacks.

There was also an important discussion of methods to combat Russian propaganda television signals in the border regions.

"It is a difficult technical task, but we have our developments that can cope with it," Zelenskyy summarized.

As a reminder, on the night of April 17, explosions were heard in the city of Dzhankoy and a massive fire broke out near the military airfield. Our sources said that the "cotton" could have been the result of a joint operation by the Armed Forces and the DIU and led to large-scale consequences and enemy losses.

The VIIRS/Suomi NPP satellite detected six fires after the explosions in Dzhankoy. All of them are located on and near the military airfield.

After the explosions in Dzhankoy (temporarily occupied Crimea), a photo confirmation of the damaged and destroyed air defense equipment of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation appeared on the Internet. "Cotton" got it in the area of the military airfield of the 39th helicopter regiment of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense (military unit 46453) of the enemy.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Natalia Humeniuk, a representative of the JC "South", emphasized that the military airfield of the Russian invaders in Dzhankoy is a legitimate target for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
