The defenders of the skies over Kyiv region, who protect Ukrainians from enemy air targets, have been honored. The incentive awards were presented to them by an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and blogger Anatoliy Stefan "Stirlitz".
He reported this on his Telegram account. Officer Stefan also posted a photo from the ceremony.
"I had the honor to present incentive awards to the soldiers of the 1129th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of Bila Tserkva on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi and the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev," the message says.
Anatoliy Shtefan thanked the defenders of the sky for their courage, heroism and will to win.
"Glory to you, Warriors!" he summarized.
It is worth noting that on October 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented state awards to Ukrainian defenders. The head of state also honored the memory of the servicemen who gave their lives for the sovereignty and independence of our country.
Earlier, Zelenskyy thanked the defenders of our country for their courage and efforts. He ordered to award the soldiers with the Bohdan Khmelnytsky Order of Honor of the second and third degree, the medal "For Military Service in Ukraine", and the medal "Defender of the Fatherland". In total, 132 soldiers were awarded, 92 of them posthumously.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on September 14, 2023, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Tank Soldiers for the first time, dedicated to the anniversary of the successful completion of the Kharkiv offensive in the city of Izyum. On this occasion, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded its participants and other defenders who skillfully operate combat vehicles on the front line.
