Danilov on strikes on Crimea: this is our peninsula, Russians will have to be driven away with weapons
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that Ukrainian troops will continue to destroy enemy targets in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue to strike until the enemy leaves the Ukrainian peninsula.
At the same time, Danilov emphasized that the strikes on Crimea are carried out mostly with domestic weapons. He said this on the air of Ukrainian Radio.
Danilov noted that the situation with the shelling of military targets in Crimea will continue. The NSDC Secretary emphasized that the enemy will have to be driven away from the peninsula with the help of missile weapons.
"This is our peninsula, and it will be liberated in the way we deem necessary. As of today, it looks like the Russians do not intend to leave Crimea on their own. Thus, we will have to drive them away with the weapons we have available," Danilov said.
The NSDC Secretary also added that Ukraine's missile program is showing results in Crimea, as not only Western weapons are being used.
"The missile program, which was launched in 2020, is bearing fruit. Part of the weapons that strike the enemy on our territory, namely in Crimea, is the implementation of the missile program. These are our latest developments, which today are no worse than Western models," Danilov said.
On the morning of September 14, explosions were heard near Yevpatoria in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The Russian occupiers complained about another drone attack and reported the work of their Air Defense system.
Later, it became known that the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Navy conducted a unique special operation in the temporarily occupied Yevpatoria in Crimea. As a result, the Russian Triumph Air Defense system worth $1.2 billion was destroyed.
The day before, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol in Crimea. The occupiers' shipyard was hit, with a fire breaking out. This enterprise, which is located on the Sevastopol Shipyard, is the main site for the construction and repair of ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
