"People, shut up!" Usyk admits what annoys him in boxing now

Oleksandr ChekanovSport
Usyk spoke about the Joshua fight

The unified heavyweight champion of the world, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), spoke harshly about the victory of Anthony Joshua (28-3, 15 KOs) over Francis Ngannou (0-2, 0 KOs). Our compatriot was outraged by the reaction of fans and experts to the success of the British boxer in a fight with a representative of mixed martial arts.

Usyk said this in an interview with the Boxing King Media YouTube channel. The Ukrainian recalled that the March 8 fight was only the second for Ngannou in the professional ring and he faced the Olympic champion and former heavyweight champion.

"Anthony Joshua is an Olympic champion, and this was Ngannou's second fight in professional boxing. People, wake up! An Olympic champion and a newcomer. These are different levels. Tyson Fury should have done the same thing to Ngannou, I don't know why he put on this show. Anthony went into the ring and did a good job. A very good job. That's it. People shut up! But everyone is saying: "Wow! Wow!". UFC is a great sport, but it's a different sport," Usyk said.

As a reminder, Joshua knocked out Ngannou in the second round. The Briton will claim to face the winner of the duel between Usyk and Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). The fight will take place on May 18 and will determine the absolute world heavyweight champion.

The week before last, the broadcast of the Usyk-Fury fight in Ukraine was announced and the cost of the show was determined. Former world champion Andy Ruiz (35-2, 22 KOs) made his prediction for the fight. Jordan Thompson (15-1, 12 KOs), the sparring partner of the two rivals, also shared his expectations for the duel.

Before that, Fury spoke frankly about Usyk, calling him a terrible person. The British boxer also spoke about being bullied in his younger years, when he was offered to quit the sport, and admitted why he decided to fight the Ukrainian.

It became known that the second rematch of the boxers is scheduled for mid-October. Tyson himself has already confirmed that he has no intention of giving up fight №2 against the Ukrainian.
