WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) admitted that Anthony Joshua's (28-4, 25 KOs) knockout of Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) came as a surprise. Commenting on the show at Wembley, Usyk noted that he was confident that AJ would win.
"It came as a surprise to me. I expected Anthony to win," the Ukrainian boxer said in an interview with Sky Sports.
At the same time, Oleksandr is not shocked by this result, so anything can happen in this sport.
"Daniel was the best today. Joshua had one problem: his stance in the fight. This position [body deflected] is dangerous. If you want to retreat, you have to do it like this [takes a step back], not like this [again deflects his body]," Usyk said on the Boxing King Media YouTube channel.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) has inflicted a sensational defeat on the former titleholder Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs). The fight for the belt previously held by Usyk ended in a knockout in the fifth round.
