They held hands. Olena Zelenska made a rare appearance with her husband

Anna KravchukNews

For the first time in a long time, Olena and Volodymyr Zelenskyy went out in public together. The presidential couple visited the exhibition of the prominent Ukrainian artist of the sixties, Alla Horska, titled "Boryviter" at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv.

The leader of the country and the first lady once again demonstrated their strong bond as they gently held hands while visiting the exhibition. The footage that captivated the network was posted on Olena Zelenska's official Telegram channel.

This time, the first lady, not changing her style, chose a restrained and elegant look. It consisted of high-waisted black trousers and an elongated jacket, as well as a pale blue blouse with an original sleeve that could be seen from under the jacket.

The President also visited the exhibition in his usual look: military pants and a black hoodie with a trident in the heart area.

"Together with the President of Ukraine, I visited Alla Horska's exhibition "Boryviter" at the Ukrainian House. It is a profound exposition because it is not only about the work of the artist of the sixties, but it sounds like the voices of an entire generation. Repressed, shot by the Soviet authorities," the First Lady said.

It is known that the exhibition will last until April 28. The exhibits include more than a hundred paintings, drawings, and sketches of monumental works from museum and private collections, as well as archival materials. Almost all of Horska's monumental works have been lost, as most of her works were occupied in 2014. The Russian invaders also destroyed the mosaic panel with the bird Boriviter, whose name is similar to the title of the exhibition. The artist created it in 1967 for the Ukraine restaurant in Mariupol. First, the panel was damaged by Russian bombing of the city, and later the occupiers destroyed it along with the building.

The President and First Lady shared her impressions of what she saw: "Having been here, you feel why this is more than an exhibition. Because the dramatic fate of the works is inseparable from the fate of the author. Alla Horska was not only an artist but also a human rights activist. The Soviet government destroyed her works, the artist was summoned for interrogation by the KGB, and she was expelled from the Union of Artists. And so it is not surprising that her contemporaries saw her murder as revenge of the Soviet secret services."

Meanwhile, Internet users have been paying attention to the presidential couple's body language. As we have already noted, the gentle holding of each other's hands has captivated the web.
