The winner of the Usyk-Fury fight will have a top belt defense: new details on the most anticipated boxing event
British Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) and American Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) are likely to fight for a chance to face the winner of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) next spring. This is the fight the World Boxing Council (WBC) intends to initiate as the Ukrainian and British belts will be at stake in the fight of the year.
This was stated by WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman in an interview with the British website Sky Sports. He emphasized that his organization tried not to prevent Fury from agreeing to hold a fight first against Joshua and then against Usyk, and therefore did not appoint mandatory contenders for the Gypsy King.

It would be a dream come true for the fans. I am very happy to see the cooperation of promoters, managers and fighters. Of course, it requires a lot of money, but you have to earn it. You can dream about many things. We dreamed about it, and this is the perfect moment to enter another era of boxing," Suleiman said.
