Joshua spoke about the fight between Usyk and Fury
Former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) admitted that he will support Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) in his fight with Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). The Watford native noted that his compatriot used to speak insultingly about his opponents, while the Ukrainian showed respect.
Joshua said this in an interview with the TNT Sports YouTube channel, Boxing Social reports. At the same time, the British boxer refused to answer the question of who will emerge victorious from the fight between the Ukrainian and the British, who will play for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion for the first time in 25 years.
"I don't know who will win, but in any case, I'm on Usyk's team. This is respect, and Fury once said a lot of bad things about me. I will never pull the strap for someone who doesn't respect me. It would make me crazy, and I'm pretty balanced. So I'll choose someone who treats me with respect," Joshua said.
As a reminder, on November 16, a press conference was held in London to officially announce the confrontation between Usyk and Fury.
