Joshua named the winner of the Usyk-Fury fight

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) has named Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) the winner of the fight with Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). At the same time, the Watford native added that it would be in his best interest to see the Ukrainian boxer lose.

Joshua said this in an interview with the iFL TV YouTube channel. Usyk's British ex-opponent, to whom he lost twice by judges' decisions, admitted that a fight with Fury is one of the main goals of his career. This fight will not only be one of the most financially successful in history, but will also determine the best boxer in the UK.

"My prediction for the Usyk-Fury fight? I think Usyk will win. Yes, definitely. Who would I like to see win? That's a great question. Based on logic, Fury. Because a fight with him would be incredible. Even though he always says he doesn't want to fight, it would be a serious fight. So, yes, the answer to this question, based on the benefits and my selfish interests, is Fury. I will answer that for that one reason," Joshua said.

Prior to that, Anthony hinted that he would like to see a brutal victory for Oleksandr over Tyson. As a reminder, Usyk and Fury were supposed to fight on February 17, but due to the autopsy of the British boxer, the fight was postponed to May 18. The day before, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) made a statement about the rematch.

Derek Chisora (34-14, 23 KOs), the former rival of the two boxers, gave his categorical forecast for the fight. In addition, the legendary Vitaliy Klychko gave original advice to the Gypsy King.

Fury himself promised to destroy his opponent. He also spoke frankly about the injury that led to the postponement of the show. And Croatian heavyweight Agron Smakic (20-2, 18 KOs) told the whole truth about what happened in the British camp.

At the same time, the Ukrainian's team has already decided on a boxer who will replace Tyson if he refuses to enter the ring again. If the Briton does so, he will also face a multimillion-dollar fine.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Tyson Fury's father John sharply attacked Oleksandr Usyk's team representatives after they questioned the British boxer's injury.
