"Given what I know..." Joshua predicted the outcome of the Usyk-Fury fight

The famous British super heavyweight, spoke about the upcoming fight of his compatriot

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) believes that his compatriot Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) will lose to WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs). The fight will take place on May 18 in Saudi Arabia and will be the first-ever battle for the absolute world heavyweight title in the four-belt era.

The Watford native emphasized that he based his prediction solely on personal experience.

"Look, I fought Oleksandr Usyk, so I can only talk about what I've experienced. Usyk is a phenomenal fighter, he does everything at the highest level, and I would say that he will do very well. I've never fought Tyson Fury, so I can't really judge how he'll perform or what it's like to fight him, so speaking only from what I know, I would say Oleksandr Usyk will win," TalkSPORT quoted Joshua as saying.

AJ fought Usyk twice, losing both fights on points. When they first met in September 2021 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Joshua was unable to stand up to Usyk as he was completely outplayed.

But when they met again 11 months later, Anthony looked noticeably more powerful, and one of the judges even gave the Briton the victory, although it is generally believed that he lost this fight by two to four rounds more.

Fury and Joshua have negotiated a fight with each other several times, but to no avail.

But provided that Fury wins both fights and Joshua continues to win, a fight between the British could easily be organized in 2025.

Earlier it was reported that Anthony Joshua will return to the ring in the fall and fight for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt.
