Former world champion named an unexpected reason for Joshua and Fury's defeats by Usyk
Former British boxer Johnny Nelson has shamed his compatriots Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) for not showing proper respect for Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs). According to the former world heavyweight champion, this attitude led to his defeat by the Ukrainian.
Nelson said this in an interview with the Seconds Out YouTube channel. The 58-year-old expert and analyst added that Usyk demonstrated his superiority over the British boxer, recalling the Ukrainian's victories over Tony Bellew and Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs).

"Usyk has left a devastating mark if we're talking about heavyweights. At least in terms of British boxers. He would have won 99 out of 100 fights with them. Usyk can be beaten, but he's pretty smart. He demonstrates that if you don't catch him the first time, it will never happen again. To beat him, you have to go into the ring as an uneducated and hungry fighter, but all the guys are his fans," Nelson said.

The rematch between Usyk and Fury took place in Riyadh.
The day before, there was information about Usyk's unexpected heavyweight opponent. The Ukrainian has already been challenged by Daniel DuBois, the holder of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight belt.
The Briton is looking forward to a rematch with our compatriot after his defeat in August 2023. Back then, Oleksandr defeated his opponent by technical knockout in the ninth round, and the Londoner scored with a dirty punch below the belt.
