"F*ck them!" Joshua speaks out categorically about the Usyk-Fury fight

Joshua doesn't believe in disruption of Usyk-Fury fight

British boxer Anthony Joshua (25-23, 22 KOs) has expressed confidence that the fight between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) for the world heavyweight title will definitely take place. The Watford native stressed that fights of this status are more important than mandatory title defences.

Joshua said this in an interview with the Boxing Social YouTube channel. The British boxer, who fought his first fight after two defeats to Usyk on April 1, added that he would like to fight the Gypsy King, as Fury is known, but it's too early to talk about it.

"A fight with Fury? In the current situation, it's hard to talk about it. I mean, Fury has a situation with Usyk. He can potentially fight him. I don't think this fight is off. Yes, there are mandatory defences. Contenders are a nightmare. But the fight for the title of absolute world champion is more important than mandatory defences. My fight with Fury will be very cool. But why are we talking about it? We already know this. Usyk read Fury like a book. It was part of his tactics to say that he was robbed. I mean these negotiations. F*ck them!" said Joshua.

Earlier, Fury's promoter Frank Warren talked about a new date for the Briton's fight against Oleksandr Usyk. The Ukrainian publicly commented on the cancellation of the fight with Fury for the first time. Our compatriot decided to leave his training camp and returned to Ukraine after the news about the disruption of the fight with Tyson.

British boxer Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) ironically spoke about the cancellation of the Usyk-Fury fight. He also made a statement about the possibility of holding a third fight against the Ukrainian. In addition, it became known how much our champion would have earned for a fight against Tyson in London.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on March 29, Oleksandr Usyk was spotted in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which is to be left by the monks of the Moscow Patriarchate. The boxer's wife Kateryna commented on the situation categorically. For his part, Usyk's promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk made an unexpected statement about Tyson Fury.
