Famous Ukrainian actress, comedian, and TV presenter Olena Kravets shared her memories and observations about First Lady Olena Zelenska, with whom she has been friends for over 29 years. According to the comedian, the Zelensky is have always had a special bond-they had their own "microcosm" and never lost the romance in their relationship. The full-scale war, as the former star of Kvartal 95 noted, greatly changed the president's wife.

Kravets told Breakfast with 1+1 on the occasion of Zelenska's 46th birthday, which she celebrates today, February 6. The actress recalled what Olena Volodymyrivna was like before she became the country's first lady, and also described how she changed after February 24, 2022.

"The two of them (Olena and Volodymyr Zelenskyi - Ed.) were just going somewhere. And this is so much of their world, their microcosm. And it's romantic, they didn't lose it. Also, Olena cooks very tasty, very cool," Kravets said.

When Volodymyr Zelenskyy decided to run for president, his wife was quite scared, but of course she did not dissuade him, and instead supported him.

Kravets commented: "She accepted her husband's decision. And she consolidated a lot of efforts to keep up with him on the same path."

The actress believes that after the full-scale invasion, the first lady became even stronger, but did not lose her femininity. On the contrary, Zelenska has learned to use soft power to convey the necessary messages to the world about the terrorist, bloody, and destructive war in Ukraine.

"I think she has realized her soft power. She realized it. The way she conveys the truth is painful. It's very feminine, but at the same time very powerful," Kravets said.

Today, Zelenska is one of the main faces of Ukraine on the international stage. In 2022, she became the first first lady to address the U.S. Congress, and in 2023, she was named one of TIME magazine's most influential people in the world. After her victory, Zelenska plans to get in her car and "run away to a quiet place with a view of the Dnipro River." Kravets added: "It seems to me that she really wants privacy, to be alone in general. I know how much she loves it and how much she needs it."
