The first lady explained the reason in a new interview for 1+1 TV channel, which was recorded jointly with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to Olena Zelenska, in order to invite Melania Trump to a meeting in Kyiv, you need to have a reason for the invitation.
"We have known her since we were the presidential couple in 2019. We have a normal relationship," the Ukrainian woman revealed. "So far, the current president has not left office, and so far, First Lady Jill Biden has. I haven't had any new contacts with Melania yet, but I think we will plan something soon. I think we'll invite her to the summit, and we'll see how it goes."
