Zelenskyy invited Indonesia to join the Peace Forum on Ukraine: details have emerged

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. Representatives of Jakarta were invited to participate in the peace summit organized by our country.

The guarantor shared the details on his Telegram channel on Monday, March 18. Zelenskyy congratulated Subianto on his election victory and "expressed hope for the continuation of mutually beneficial bilateral relations."

"In 2022, I presented the Peace Formula - a real path to a just peace - in Indonesia. Now we are preparing the inaugural peace summit, and Indonesia's participation in it is fundamentally important for us," the Ukrainian president emphasized.

He invited Indonesia to join the Forum for Peace and to implement the points on food and nuclear security, as well as in efforts to exchange prisoners.

To recap: Prabowo Subianto is a 72-year-old Indonesian politician and military officer, a retired lieutenant general. Before winning the election (in February 2024), he was the country's Minister of Defense.

– On March 14, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held several meetings on international work. In particular, the head of state discussed the next steps towards Ukraine's membership in the EU and spoke with American partners about cooperation between Kyiv and Washington and pressure on Russia.

– On the same day, Zelenskyy held talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. He expressed gratitude for the long and comprehensive support and the bilateral security agreement.
