President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has not heard US presidential candidate Donald Trump talk about his intention to reduce support for Ukraine if he wins the election. However, there are risks, and Ukraine has an internal plan to strengthen itself.

The President said this during a press conference at the Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit in Reykjavik, Iceland. His speech was broadcast on the Presidential Office's YouTube channel.

"Donald Trump talks a lot. However, I have not heard him say that he will reduce support for Ukraine if he wins the presidential election in November 2024," he said.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the Ukrainian state understands all the risks of the presidential election, the biggest of which will be a change in US policy.

"Despite this, we definitely count on bilateral support in Congress," Zelenskyy said.

The President emphasized that non-support for Ukraine would be considered a victory for Putin and "a big loss for the West, democracy and freedom."

"I'm not sure that Trump, if he becomes president of the United States, will want to lose, in the sense of stopping support for Ukraine. However, I agree that there are risks, which is why Ukraine has its own internal plan to strengthen itself," the president summarized his answer to this question.
