President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Asian countries to take part in bringing a just peace for Ukraine closer. The Head of State emphasized that Asian states can help restore the power of international law.

Zelenskyy noted that only by uniting against one war, all countries of the world can create experience in overcoming any war. The President made the statement during a speech at the plenary session "Re-Imagining Solutions for Global Peace and Regional Stability" in Singapore.

According to the President, Ukraine's experience in renewing effective diplomacy has led to the format of the Global Peace Summit. Zelenskyy expressed confidence that the whole world wants to be united and able to act in full harmony.

"We have realized that nations equally reject the idea that someone secretly makes decisions and imposes them, we need an open and inclusive dialogue. We have confirmed that the principles and goals of the UN Charter and international conventions are quite relevant," Zelenskyy said.

The Head of State also stated that the principles and values of international law became the basis of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, which eventually grew into the Global Peace Summit, where every leader and every country can demonstrate their commitment to peace.

"The global majority can ensure by their participation that what is agreed upon is actually implemented and that Russia, which started this brutal war, cannot push us off the path to its end. By uniting against one war, we will create a real experience for the world, the experience of overcoming any war, the experience of diplomacy that works," the President of Ukraine said.

As a reminder, earlier, Zelenskyy said that no country in the world is able to cope with the kind of missile attacks that Ukraine has to fight off on its own. The President emphasized that additional air defense systems would help protect people's lives from Russian missiles.

Earlier, Zelenskyy said that Russia was blackmailing some leaders in order to block their participation in the peace summit to be held on June 15-16 in Switzerland. According to the head of state, the summit will be attended by about a hundred states.
