President noted the success of the DIU warriors at sea
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the success of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine at sea, in particular the defeat of the Russian missile ship Ivanivets. According to the head of state, the six hits on the vessel were the result of a complex operation at the Donuzlav Lake raid.
The president made the statement on February 3 during a ceremony of awarding the defenders. A video of the speech was published on Zelenskyy's official Telegram channel.
"A complicated operation at the Donuzlav Lake raid: six direct hits by naval drones on the hull of the Ivanivets. It was strong. And I thank you for this strength!" the post reads.
According to Zelenskyy, the DIU soldiers did a lot for Ukraine's victory at sea and on land, inflicting losses on the aggressor country.
"A lot has already been done by the DIU soldiers, both on land and at sea. And Russia is really feeling the pain of your actions, of the actions of your brothers. And it is important that the Russian perpetrators of this war really lose from it. Today, I want to especially note your success at sea – the defeat of a Russian missile ship," the President said.
Earlier, the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said that the attack on the boat "Ivanivets" was carried out by new Ukrainian maritime drones MAGURA 5, resulting in six hits. The UAV was operated by a drone unit of the 13th Group of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

– The attack on the occupiers' boat "Ivanivets" was carried out on the night of February 1. The missile boat of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was raiding Lake Donuzlav in the Black Sea region of Crimea at that time. The ship's hull was heavily damaged, heeled over, and sank.
–- According to Russian media, the Ivanovets boat was carrying supersonic Moskit anti-ship cruise missiles. Propagandists claim that the crew allegedly managed to evacuate.
– Up to 40 crew members could have been on the destroyed boat, the Ukrainian Navy said.
