Zelenskyy calls on the EU to create its own army: Russia is preparing new "exercises" that could end in war

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has once again warned that the aggressor country Russia could be preparing a false flag attack on European countries. The Head of State noted that Russia plans to deploy its troops in Belarus again this summer.

Zelenskyy reminded that it was under the pretext of "military exercises" that Russia had been amassing troops around Ukraine, which led to a full-scale war. The Ukrainian president said this during a speech at the Munich Security Conference.

Zelenskyy said that in 2025, Russia plans to create 15 new divisions, thus increasing its army by another 150,000 people. In addition, the president warned that Russia continues to open new recruitment centers and the Kremlin can afford it, as oil prices are still quite high.

The president said that not only Ukraine but also other European countries could suffer from Russia's armed aggression. He also noted that it is time for Europe to become self-sufficient and united to be ready to repel Russian aggression.

"Now we cannot rule out the possibility that America may say "no" to Europe in matters that threaten it. Many leaders have talked about Europe needing its own army – the army of Europe. I really believe that the time has come – the Armed Forces of Europe must be created," Zelenskyy said.

In addition, the Ukrainian president warned that Russians could commit aggression even without insignia, as it already happened in 2014 in Crimea. Therefore, Zelenskyy said, European countries should be prepared for any turn of events.

"If Russia launches a false flag operation or simply an unmarked operation from Belarus, just like it did with Crimea in 2014, how quickly will the allies respond? And will they respond at all?" the president said.

Zelenskyy notes that with the increase in the number of troops, the costs of European countries will increase. However, in addition to the financial component, it is necessary for people to realize the need to defend their homes.

"Without the Ukrainian army, European armies will not be enough to stop Russia. This is the reality of today. Only our army in Europe has real, modern combat experience. But our army alone is not enough. And we need what you can provide. Weapons. Training. Sanctions. Funding. Political pressure. And unity," the president said.

To recap, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson expressed confidence that US President Donald Trump would not betray Ukraine. According to him, the head of the White House cannot begin his presidency by defeating the West and allowing Russian dictator Putin to humiliate NATO.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine's European partners were alarmed by US President Donald Trump's phone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Some politicians even began to compare the contact with the Kremlin leader to the Munich Agreement of 1938. In reality, however, Trump has put Putin in a difficult position, leaving the war criminal with a choice of two losing options.
