Zelensky on Russian attacks: murders of children cannot be forgotten, justice is needed for peace
President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to Russia's intensified attacks on Ukrainian cities over the past week. He emphasized that the killing of children by Russians cannot be forgotten, and that justice is needed for peace.
This is stated in the post of the President's Office on the official Telegram channel. It published footage of the consequences of enemy attacks on Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia on November 7-10 and beyond.
It is noted that during this week, Ukrainian air defense forces worked every night and every day, protecting the Ukrainian sky from Russian terror.
On the night of November 10, Russian troops launched a record number of Shaheds and other attack drones - 145 - across the regions of our country.
In total, during this week, the aggressor country used more than 800 guided aerial bombs, about 600 attack drones and almost 20 missiles of various types.
In particular, on the afternoon of November 7, Russia struck Zaporizhzhia with five guided bombs, killing ten people, including a young mother and her one-and-a-half-year-old son, and injuring more than 40 people. In the evening of the same day, Russian troops launched a massive attack with attack drones on Odesa and Odesa district: one person was killed and nine were injured. On the night of November 8, the occupiers bombed Kharkiv, injuring 25 people, including a baby. On the night of November 10, war criminals again attacked Odesa region with Shaheds: the infrastructure was severely damaged, and two people were injured.
In addition, over the past week, enemy troops repeatedly shelled Sumy, Kherson, and Donetsk regions with bombs and kamikaze drones, and attacked Dnipropetrovs'k and Kyiv regions.
"Such terror cannot be stopped with words, and the killing of children and the loss of relatives cannot be forgotten. Without strong decisions, there is no security from terror, and this is equally clear in every country. And without justice, there is no lasting peace, and it is quite realistic for Ukraine to achieve this," Zelensky commented.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, in order for Ukraine to win the war with Russia and bring a just peace closer, partners must strengthen the defense capabilities of the Defense Forces, said Victoria Kuvshynnikova, acting permanent representative of Ukraine to international organizations in Vienna. According to her, this is exactly what the Victory Plan presented by Zelenskyy envisages.
