On Saturday, July 8, on the 500th day of the full-scale war that Russia unleashed against Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky came to Snake Island, which has become a symbol of our nation's invincibility. The head of state expressed his gratitude to all those who stood in its defense and honored the heroes who gave their lives in one of the most important battles during the full-scale war.

The president posted the corresponding video on Telegram. He stressed that Snake Island is a free island of free Ukraine. And even though it is only a small piece of land in the Black Sea, it is proof that our state will regain all its territories, the leader of the state is convinced.

"Grateful to all who fought here against the occupiers. We honored the memory of the heroes who gave their lives in this battle, one of the most important one during the full-scale war," Zelensky noted.

"We are going forward! Thank you to each and every one," the head of state stressed.

To remind, on the anniversary of the liberation of Snake Island from Russian occupiers, June 30, President Zelensky addressed the nation. He said that Ukrainians are stronger than anyone thinks and named the Heroes who died in the battles for the Ukrainian island.
