Zelensky awarded the Ukrainian military who distinguished themselves in the battles for Donbass

The officer has been involved in the defense of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity since March 2014, carried out combat missions during the Combined Forces Operation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and since February 25, 2022 has been involved in repelling a full-scale Russian invasion. In particular, his unit defended Mariupol.
In April 2022, Viktor Sikoza was appointed commander of the 36th separate brigade of marines. Under his leadership, the brigade carried out combat missions in the Kherson direction, then transferred to the operational subordination of the commander of operative-tactical grouping "Donetsk". More than once, the colonel personally led the brigade's units during counter-offensives.
The President also awarded the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnitsky of І-ІІІ degrees, "For Courage" of ІІ degree and the Order of Princess Olga of ІІ degree to the defenders and protectors who showed personal courage and selflessly acted, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
"Powerful people who defend our state. Dear gentlemen officers, soldiers, - all those who protect, risking themselves, the life of Ukraine. I want to congratulate you all today, thank you, shake hands. for what you are," - said Vladimir Zelensky during the awarding of defenders.
The head of state wished the servicemen health and a speedy victory.
"Proud that we have such ordinary, but at the same time heroic people in our state. Thanks to you, Ukraine will definitely remain here. And this is important for all future generations. Glory to Ukraine!" - the President added.
