Zelensky arrived in Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia: video with soldiers appeared

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia. There he talked to Ukrainian soldiers.

The Head of State also presented awards to the defenders. This is stated in a message on Zelensky's Telegram channel.

In particular, the President visited the location of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose soldiers are performing missions in Zaporizhzhia. They received high state awards from Zelensky.

"It is an honor to be here today. To support the soldiers and award them. They have a difficult, decisive mission on their shoulders - to repel the enemy and defend Ukraine. We are proud of our soldiers, we thank everyone!" the President said.

In particular, Zelensky presented the Cross of Military Merit to the commander of a reconnaissance platoon, Senior Lieutenant Andriy Olshansky. Several other defenders received the Bohdan Khmelnytsky and the Order of Courage.

While at the forefront of the 65th Brigade, the President also heard information on the operational situation from the commander of the Zaporizhzhia Operational Group Volodymyr Horbatiuk.

Fierce fighting has been going on near Robotyne for several months. This settlement is located close to the contact line.

Robotyne was occupied by Russian troops in early March 2022. The village was liberated by Ukrainian soldiers in August 2023, during a counteroffensive operation in Zaporizhzhia.

During his trip to Zaporizhzhia region, Zelensky also held a meeting on the security situation in the region. During the meeting, both representatives of the military command and heads of law enforcement agencies reported to the president.

"Important issues. The situation on the battlefield, defensive actions in the Avdiivka sector, the situation in the area of Robotyne and other frontline areas, fortifications. Protection of critical infrastructure facilities and the region's defense industry from the enemy," Zelensky outlined the range of issues raised during the meeting.

The president also mentioned the protection of Zaporizhzhia and the entire territory of Ukraine from enemy air attacks as a separate topic for work during the trip.

"Air Command "East". We discussed the protection of our cities and villages, critical infrastructure and the front line from the air. We talked about the peculiarities of using Western air defense systems and reinforcement through future deliveries. I awarded combat pilots. Our powerful warriors who protect our sky and defend Ukraine from the sky. Thank you for your precise actions and the destruction of the enemy," Zelensky said.

Earlier, Zelensky presented certificates for apartments to Heroes of Ukraine and their families . He called this practice "a testament to the constant gratitude and respect".

It was also reported that Zelensky presented high state awards to the DIU military for special achievements in special missions.
