On the evening of 21 August, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy summed up the results of his visit to the Nordic countries. Having visited Sweden, the Netherlands and Denmark, he said that Ukraine would produce Western military equipment.

Zelenskyy said this in a video he recorded right from the plane on his way home. The President noted that the country had received the necessary agreements (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

"We are completing this visit to the Nordic countries. Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark. Without exaggeration, this is a historic visit for Ukraine. We need agreements with Sweden, including defence agreements. We will produce CV90s, powerful combat vehicles, in Ukraine. Our soldiers are very happy with these vehicles. Mr Christersson, the entire Swedish government, the entire Swedish people. Thank you!" said the guarantor.

He called the visit to the Netherlands productive, especially for 42 F-16 aircraft.

"We can get them for Ukraine. We will get it. Thank you, Mark, Prime Minister, your entire team, thank you to the people of the Netherlands! Denmark - 19 more F-16s, plus we are expanding training. Zelenskyy stressed that the common priority of all Europeans is for all peoples on all continents to enjoy a safe life equally.

"The more stability there is in the world, the more stability there is in our European home. In all three countries, we talked about new defence support packages for soldiers and political cooperation. I would like to especially thank Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark for their support of the Peace Formula. Peace is always the result of joint efforts It is always security in all spheres of life. And it will be: For Ukraine and the world, Russia will not succeed in breaking global security. I would like to thank the United States of America for supporting our freedom and our aviation coalition," Zelenskyy said, adding that the F-16 is a plane made by the United States.

The Head of State thanked his American colleague Joe Biden, his team and all US citizens who support Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. He noted that there are millions of them.

"The work of politicians is unity. More unity. More power. When unity grows stronger, even things that seemed fantastic to someone before become achievable. F-16s will be in Ukraine. We are not stopping. We will add more strength to our country. Glory to Ukraine!" - Zelenskyy summed up.
