"We trust him completely": military appeal to Zaluzhnyi to keep Skiba as commander of the 63rd Brigade
Thepersonnel of the 63rd Brigade appealed to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi with a request to keep Petro Skyba as commander. The soldiers also complained about frequent inspections by various authorities, which, in their opinion, were aimed at removing the brigade commander from office.
The corresponding appeal of the personnel of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Reserve Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was obtained by OBOZ.UA. Thus, the document states that in December alone, the brigade underwent six inspections.
"It seems that the only purpose of these inspections is to frame and dismiss the brigade commander. This state of affairs has a negative impact on the morale of the brigade's personnel," the military wrote.
The soldiers noted that the news of the commander's dismissal had a negative impact on their morale. During the five months that Skiba led the brigade, the soldiers became more motivated and their combat work intensified significantly. Under his command, significant attention was paid to progressive methods of warfare, including the active use of UAVs.
Since July 2023, despite all the enemy's attempts to break through the defense, the brigade has continued to hold its lines. The military noted that all this is due to the organization of the work of all structures of the brigade by Commander Skiba .
"Mr. General, the personnel of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade ask you to consider leaving Colonel Skiba in the position of the commander of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. We fully trust him and are confident in the correctness of his decisions, which are aimed exclusively at the interests of our country. We are convinced that if Colonel Skiba continues to be the commander of the brigade, he will be able to make the brigade one of the most combat-ready and most cohesive military teams," the statement reads.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that the servicemen of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to capture a Russian armored personnel carrier "Tiger". Soldiers from the company of strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) used FPV drones to cancel out the invaders' equipment along with their personnel.
