Ukraine continues its efforts to increase its own weapons production. Currently, the state has reached the figure of six Bohdan self-propelled artillery systems per month and can see prospects for further increase.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on Telegram following a daily conference call. In addition, according to him, the implementation of important defense agreements with partners continues.
"We have received both scarce missiles for existing air defense systems and new, modern anti-aircraft systems. I am grateful to our friends," the Head of State emphasized.
He also reported on the results of the "grain corridor" - currently, the transportation of 7 million tons of cargo has already exceeded the mark.
In addition, the President heard intelligence reports and reports from the front. According to Zelenskyi, defensive battles continue in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka sectors, and active operations continue in the south.
In Kherson, the President informed the emergency services, the OVA and MVA, are overcoming the consequences of another barbaric shelling and helping the victims. The defense forces are implementing a plan to deny the enemy the opportunity and desire to terrorize the city.
As a reminder, the day before, Zelenskyi said that intense fighting with the Russian occupiers continued at the front in dozens of locations. According to the President, the most difficult areas on the front line are Maryinka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Kharkiv region and the south.
The Head of State reminded that the frontline needed support every day. Next week, the government is preparing a decision to increase the capabilities of the defense industry of Ukraine, as well as new military aid packages for the soldiers of the Defense Forces.
