"We managed to resist thanks to your courage and sacrifice": Zaluzhnyi thanked all Ukrainians working for victory
On the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale war, former Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief General Valerii Zaluzhnyi expressed confidence that Ukraine will win. He emphasized that the country survived "thanks to the courage and sacrifice" of all Ukrainians.
Zaluzhnyi wrote about this on Facebook. The military added a photo of himself with former Chief of the General Staff Serhii Shaptala.
"Our uncompromising and courageous resistance continues. On February 24, 2022, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians were not afraid of Russian missile attacks and huge convoys of equipment and volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thanks to the courage and sacrifice of Ukrainian citizens, we managed to resist. We managed to preserve ourselves and our country," the former chief emphasized.
Zaluzhnyi also thanked all those who defend the state on the battlefield and help resist Russian aggression, "who remember, believe, pray and do everything possible for the Victory."
"Eternal memory and honor to the soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of their homeland. I believe and know for sure that we will win! Glory to Ukraine!" the general said.
In a few hours, the military's post received tens of thousands of likes and hundreds of comments: Ukrainians, in turn, thank Zaluzhnyi, who managed to, as they wrote, "save the country."
