On 14 August, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced his trip to Donetsk region, where he visited the defenders of Ukraine. The President met with soldiers of the 22nd separate mechanised, 5th separate assault, 80th separate airborne assault, 57th separate mechanised infantry, 92nd separate mechanised, 26th artillery and 3rd separate assault brigades.

Zelenskyy met with soldiers and the commander of the 22nd Separate Mechanised Brigade, who are performing combat missions as part of the Adam tactical group of the Soledar operational and tactical group.

Together, they discussed the challenges faced by the brigade's soldiers.

"Every day I receive general information. It gives a broad understanding of the situation, and this is also very important. But I wanted to visit all the brigades individually to understand the problems of each of them," said the guarantor.

At the command post of the 5th Brigade, which is carrying out combat missions as part of the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops in the Bakhmut direction, they discussed important topics: the situation in the brigade's area of responsibility, training of defenders, the need for weapons and equipment, and problematic issues.

The 80th Air Assault Brigade, according to the President, has been performing combat missions as part of the Oleksandriya Operational and Strategic Group in the Mykolaiv sector and the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group in the Izium, Kupyansk, Bakhmut and Sievierodonetsk sectors since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Zelenskyy thanked the soldiers for their powerful results, bravery and courage in combat.

The 57th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Kosh Ataman Kostiantyn Hordienko is performing combat missions as part of the "Oleksandriia" Operational and Strategic Group in the Zaporizhzhia sector and the "Khortytsia" Operational and Strategic Group in the Bakhmut, Popasna and Sievierodonetsk sectors.

"I thank everyone who is fighting for our country! Each of your results, each of your steps forward, brings Ukraine's victory closer," the head of state stressed.

Zelenskyy also visited the 92nd Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Ataman Ivan Sirko. Since the beginning of the great war, its soldiers have been defending us from the occupiers as part of the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops on the Kharkiv, Izyum, Kupyansk, and Bakhmut directions.

A meeting was held with the command of the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Lieutenant General Roman Dashkevych in Donetsk Oblast. The brigade is carrying out combat missions as part of the Khortytsia Joint Strategic Forces Grouping in the Sievierodonetsk, Popasna, Bakhmut and Chernihiv areas.

At the command post of the 3rd Separate Special Forces Brigade, which is performing combat missions as part of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group of Troops in the Bakhmut direction, "we discussed the most pressing issues," Zelensky said.
