"There should be no illusions": the Ministry of Defence commented on the possibility of a terrorist attack on ZNPP

Maliar comments on the possibility of a Russian terrorist attack on ZNPP

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Hanna Maliar commented on the possibility of a terrorist attack at the Zaporizhzhia NPP in Enerhodar, which could be organised by the occupiers. She stressed that we should be prepared for such a scenario.

Maliar said this on Tuesday, 4 July, on the air of the United News telethon. She noted that there is no limit to the insanity of the terrorist country of the Russian Federation.

In addition, there can be no illusions about what the Russians can do after what they have already done to Ukraine during a full-scale war.

"There can be no talk at all after a full-scale war about whether they can resort to this or not, whether they will do it (blowing up the ZNPP - Ed.). There are no limits to which Russia will not go in its madness. Therefore, it is important that we are, firstly, morally prepared for this; secondly, we are already trained to prepare for everything. We have to be ready for everything, we have no other choice," Maliar said.

As a reminder, on 4 July, Russian propagandists began spreading fakes that Ukraine was allegedly going to attack the Zaporizhzhia NPP in occupied Enerhodar on the night of 5 July.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have officially announced that provocations are being prepared on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in the near future. It is noted that the Armed Forces are ready to act under any circumstances.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL:

- National Security and Defence Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said that if Russia dares to stage a terrorist attack at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant temporarily seized by its troops, the entire civilised world will consider this step as the use of nuclear weapons. Ukraine is now doing everything possible to prevent the occupiers from doing so.

- Mark Zheleznyak, Professor at the Institute of Environmental Radioactivity at Fukushima University, assessed the risk of a disaster at ZNPP and said which areas are under threat.
