Russia hits hotel in Kramatorsk

On the evening of August 24, Russian terrorists launched a ballistic missile at the city of Kramatorsk in Donetsk region. The enemy target hit a hotel, injuring two foreign journalists.

Another one is probably trapped under the rubble. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin.

"All three victims are journalists, citizens of Ukraine, the United States and the United Kingdom," he wrote.

At the same time, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office informed that it is currently aware of two injured foreign media correspondents, who are 38 and 40 years old. They have been diagnosed with mine-blast trauma, brain contusion, a broken leg, contusion and cut wounds.

"The injured were provided with emergency medical care. Another correspondent is probably trapped under the rubble," the agency said.

According to the investigation, the Russians struck a residential area of Kramatorsk at around 22:35 on Saturday, August 24, allegedly with an Iskander-M missile. In addition to the hotel, the Russian shelling also damaged a nearby high-rise building and other residential buildings.

Representatives of the authorities, the police and the State Emergency Service were working at the site to clear the rubble and carry out rescue operations. Under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in a criminal proceeding on the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The RMA added that over the past 24 hours, on August 24, Russian war criminals killed seven residents of Donetsk region: five in Kostiantynivka, one in Toretsk and one in Kotlyn. Another 15 people were injured in the region due to enemy shelling.

The total number of Russian casualties in Donetsk region - 2,182 killed and 5,717 wounded (excluding Mariupol and Volnovakha).

As reported, on August 10, Russian terrorists attacked a critical infrastructure facility in Kramatorsk, killing one employee and injuring several others.

The next day, on August 11, the occupiers shelled residential buildings and the territory of an enterprise in Kramatorsk. Eight civilians were injured.
