Vadym Fil ashkin is the head of Donetsk Regional State Administration.

Brief biography

Vadym Filashkin was born on June 14, 1975 in the village of Arbuzynka in Mykolaiv region.

He received his higher education in 2002 at Mykolaiv State Pedagogical University, specializing in "Pedagogy and Methodology of Secondary Education. Physical training and pre-conscription training".

Subsequently, he earned a law degree, graduating from the Kyiv National University of Internal Affairs.

Mr. Filashkin is a candidate of law. His specialty is criminal procedure and forensics; forensic examination; operative-search activity.

From 1993 to 2001, Mr. Filashkin completed compulsory service and then served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Subsequently, he worked in operational and managerial positions in the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in different areas.

In 2015-2016, he was deputy head of the Main Department of the National Police in Donetsk region.

Since February 2019, he became Deputy Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.

On December 28, 2023, by decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was appointed head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.

Family

Filashkin is married. Raises two children.
