The Netherlands has allocated almost one and a half billion euros of additional aid to Ukraine: where will the money go
In a telephone conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte announced that his country would provide Ukraine with another €400 million. The assistance is in addition to the commitments under the bilateral security agreement between Ukraine and the Netherlands.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram. The President also said what the money will be used for.
According to the head of state, one billion euros have been allocated for military assistance to Ukraine, and 400 million euros will be used to rebuild the country.
Zelenskyy thanked Rutte and the Dutch people for their help, emphasizing that this is an exemplary example of support for Ukraine.
The President also said that he had discussed with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands joint work with partners to speed up the supply of air defense systems, artillery shells, and ammunition to Ukraine.
"I thanked for the effective Justice for Ukraine conference in The Hague and the launch of the Register of Damages as a result of it. I spoke about the preparation of the Peace Summit in Switzerland and invited the Netherlands to join. We also discussed the necessary efforts to ensure that as many countries as possible support this event," Zelenskyy added.

The Dutch government has decided to transfer an additional €400 million to Ukraine in 2024 to protect it from a full-scale Russian invasion. In total, the country's budget for this year included about €2 billion for Ukraine.
The Netherlands will also provide Ukraine with 24 F-16 fighter jets. The Ukrainian military will receive them after completing all the necessary preparations.
