Reznikov: Ukraine is experiencing a drone production boom

The head of the Defence Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov, said that the government of our state had managed to simplify procedures for developers and manufacturers of weapons and equipment. Therefore, Ukraine has started to actively create drones.

According to the head of the defense Ministry, now there is "a real boom in the production of drones". He said this, speaking at a meeting of the Congress of local and regional authorities on Sunday, July 30, reports Ukrinform.

"There is a real boom in drone production in Ukraine. Thanks to our policy, Ukraine is able to independently provide itself with body armor, helmets, uniforms, shoes and so on," he said.

Reznikov noted that last year the Cabinet of Ministers supported the initiative of the Ministry of Defense to simplify procedures for manufacturers of military equipment. According to the decision, the procedure for putting products into operation reaches a matter of weeks together with the conclusion of state contracts.

Previously, this process could take up to two years.

Recall that last year in Ukraine was created the Army of Drones, in July 2022, the Ministry of Digitization together with the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the AFU, the State Spetsvyaz within the fundraising platform UNITED24 announced the first collection for this project. During the year, donors from 100 countries supported the fundraising for drones for Ukraine - thanks to the strong support it was possible to purchase thousands of drones and provide more than 200 units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces with them.

Also within the framework of this project the mass Ukrainian production of UAVs was launched - 40 models of Ukrainian drones were authorized for operation and are being delivered to the front.

Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said that within one week drones from the Drone Army hit more than a hundred units of different equipment of the occupation army of the Russian Federation. Ukrainian soldiers with the help of these weapons managed to minus more than 70 occupants, 57 armored vehicles, three air defense systems, warehouses and other support of the enemy.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky told about the potential of the Army of drones. He stated that good news on this subject will be more often.
