Almost 40% of UAVs were shot down by mobile fire groups

On the night of November 25, Russian terrorist forces launched one of the most massive drone attacks on Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed most of the enemy UAVs.

About 40% of the targets were shot down by mobile fire groups. This was reported by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk.

According to him, the Russian occupiers launched 75 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs at Ukraine at night. The main target of the attack was Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

Thanks to the skills of the Ukrainian military, 74 UAVs were destroyed. Oleshchuk also emphasized the combat work of mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine. According to him, it was the mobile groups that shot down about 40% of the UAVs.

In his turn, the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Naiev emphasized that 55 enemy attack drones were destroyed in the Northern Operational Zone.

According to him, 28 kamikaze drones were destroyed by mobile air defense fire groups equipped with heavy machine guns, man-portable air defense systems and anti-aircraft guns.

The defenders shot down 7 attack drones in the Sumy region, 4 in the Chernihiv region, and 17 in the Kyiv region.

As a reminder, the military and political leadership is increasing the number of mobile groups to combat enemy UAVs. Work to strengthen the protection of energy infrastructure and civilian facilities is also underway.

Earlier, it was reported that on the morning of November 25, when Ukraine commemorates the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-33, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with Iranian kamikaze drones from several directions. The falling debris caused injuries and destruction in the capital.
