Prime Minister of Denmark: F-16 fighters will arrive in Ukraine within a month

F-16s from Denmark will be in the air over Ukraine within a month

Denmark is preparing to transfer Western F-16 fighters to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They should arrive in our country within a month.

This statement was made by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. This was reported on the social network X by Die Zeit correspondent Jörg Lau.

"F-16s from Denmark will be in the air over Ukraine for a month," Mette Frederiksen said.

It is worth noting that on Wednesday, May 8, President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen solutions that would help speed up the transfer of F-16s to Ukraine. In addition, Zelenskyy and Frederiksen discussed joint work with partners to supply Ukraine with ammunition.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

- F-16 fighters donated by partners may appear in Ukraine "after Easter". Of course, this is a stretch; so far, based on the statements of the allies, it is expected that the planes will enter service in 2024.

- Denmark will deliver the first F-16s to Ukraine in the summer of 2024, and the process will continue in the fall. After that, the Netherlands plans to start sending fighters to our country.

- Belgium will start supplying modern F-16 fighters to Ukraine in 2024. The decision was made by the government of the country.
