Media: 30 Russian servicemen killed and 80 wounded in Dzhankoy airfield strike

On the night of April 17, powerful explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Dzhankoy near the military airfield. As a result of the "cotton", about 30 Russian occupants could have been killed and almost a hundred injured.

In Dzhankoy itself, there were not enough places in the hospital for all the wounded, and some of the occupiers are being transported by helicopter to Sevastopol. This was reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel, citing its own sources.

"According to our sources, about 30 Russian soldiers were killed and about 80 wounded at the airfield in Dzhankoy. Due to the lack of sufficient beds in the hospital in Dzhankoy, the wounded are being transported by helicopters to Sevastopol to be placed in the 1472nd Military Clinical Hospital," the message says.

As a reminder, on the night of April 17, explosions were heard in Dzhankoy: locals began to report that a powerful fire had broken out near the military airfield. Meanwhile, Russian propagandists began to write that "grass was burning in the field."

According to OBOZ.UA's sources, the strikes on Dzhankoy could have been a joint operation of the Armed Forces and the DIU. According to the source, the airfield was attacked with modernized Soviet weapons, which surprised the invaders and led to large-scale consequences.

According to preliminary data, three air defense batteries located on the territory of Dzhankoy airfield were destroyed. The invaders may also have lost several helicopters, a fuel tanker, an ammunition depot, two radar stations, one electronic warfare station and a launcher of the Bastion coastal missile system.

It should be noted that the 39th Helicopter Regiment of the 27th Mixed Aviation Division of the 4th Air Force and Air Defense Command of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation, three aviation squadrons with Mi-8, Mi-35M, Mi-28, and Ka-52 are stationed at the military airbase near Dzhankoy. There are also helicopters of the FSB Border Guard Service stationed there.
