Counter-offensive actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue. During the past week (August 28 - September 3) there were successes in the south and east, in particular, in the Bakhmut and Melitopol directions.

Eastern part of the front

In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy is firing a large number of times at Ukrainian territory and trying to attack the country's defenders. Our Defense Forces repel several enemy attacks a day and prevent the Russian Armed Forces from advancing.

In the Liman sector, the occupants are conducting unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Novoyehorivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, and continue to regroup their troops.

In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy is conducting defensive actions to restrain the advance of Ukrainian troops and is unsuccessfully attempting to regain lost ground near Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka, Ozaranivka in the Donetsk region.

According to Malyar, there have been some successes in the area of Klishchiyivka. In total, 47 square kilometers have been liberated near Bakhmut, and the area liberated increased by 3 square kilometers over the past week.

At the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, the Russian invaders focused their main efforts on the offensive to improve the tactical situation. The enemy is trying to attack in the areas of Pivnichne, Avdiivka, Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

Southern part of the front

The Russian Armed Forces are on the defensive in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors. The occupiers are shelling the positions of our units and civilian objects in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions, actively using Lancet kamikaze drones.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive in the Melitopol sector. There were successes in the direction of Novodanylivka and Novoprokopivka. Malyar noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are consolidating their positions.

She also noted that the enemy in the south suffers significant losses in personnel, weapons and equipment, moves units and troops, and uses reserves.

On the air of United News on the morning of September 4, the Deputy Minister of Defense said that the main direction of the Russian invaders' offensive remains eastern Ukraine. With varying degrees of intensity, but constantly, the enemy is trying to advance on the Lyman, Kupyansk, Maryinka, and Avdiivka directions.

As for Bakhmut, the main fighting is now taking place on the flanks around the city. In general, the number of enemy attacks in the east over the week is estimated at around 8,000 (approximately 400,000 rounds of ammunition).
