Explosions were heard in the occupied Crimea: smoke was visible over Sevastopol. Photos and videos
On the night of Friday, August 2, explosions were heard in Crimea, temporarily occupied by Russian troops. It was loud in Sevastopol, Simferopol, Yevpatoria, and Saki.
This was reported in local Telegram channels, and the explosions were also confirmed by the fake governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, appointed by the aggressor country. Meanwhile, OSINT researchers note that the S-400 air defense position near Sevastopol may have been hit.
The Crimean Wind Channel, citing residents, wrote that the explosions were heard "from Sevastopol to Balaklava." The authors published a video showing explosions, shooting, and sirens in Sevastopol.
Smoke is visible over the city center.
Later, the channel wrote that there may be an arrival in the area of the 13th ship repair plant of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Kilen Bay in Sevastopol. The information has not yet been confirmed.
At the same time, Razvozhayev said that the Russian occupation forces "repelled a massive attack on Sevastopol". According to him, there is no information about the victims.
A representative of the invaders said that a part of a downed missile allegedly fell in the area of Khrustaleva Street. Debris also fell in the area of Ostryakov Street, where, according to the "governor," parts of the downed UAV are burning.
Debris from "downed air targets" also fell in the area of Symonka Street and Uchkuyivka.
Meanwhile, OSINT researchers, having analyzed the NASA fire map, suggested that Ukrainian missiles could have hit one of the occupiers' S-400 positions.
"Last night, judging by the NASA fire map, Mr. Himars hit a long-known S-400 air defense position near Sevastopol. And perhaps not only S-400, we will find out later," reads the message on the Telegram channel "Dnipro | OSINT with Harbuz".
