Explosions were heard in occupied Kerch, two ferries were damaged: Crimean bridge was blocked. Video
On the night of May 30, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Kerch in Crimea. The occupiers temporarily blocked traffic on the Crimean bridge. Later, they said that two ferries were allegedly "damaged by the fragments of downed missiles."
This was reported on Telegram by the local publics. A missile threat was announced on the peninsula.
It seems that the explosions were of considerable force, as local residents were visibly alarmed on social media: they wrote that it was very scary and wondered if the bridge was intact. The Crimean "authorities" have not yet commented on the "explosive" events on the peninsula.
The Telegram channel "Mykolaiv Vanek" reported that there were three hits in Kerch near the bridge, but it was not the target. The author also announced a hot night for the occupiers not only in Crimea.
The so-called advisor to the head of Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov, quoted the "Minister of Transport" Nikolai Lukashenko as saying that two ferries in Kerch were allegedly damaged by the fragments of downed missiles.
"During the repulsion of the enemy attack on the transport infrastructure of Kerch, two ferries – a car and a railway ferry – were damaged by the fragments of downed missiles, and the glazing of the superstructures was damaged. There were no casualties among sailors or civilians. After the damage is assessed, the ferry service will be resumed," the occupiers' representative said.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that several attempts to carry out attacks using American ATACMS tactical missiles, aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, and unmanned boats were foiled during the night. According to the terrorist agency's legend, eight ATACMS missiles were allegedly destroyed by air defense systems over the Sea of Azov, and eight UAVs were intercepted over the Black Sea near the coast of occupied Crimea. The occupiers also claim that two unmanned boats heading in the direction of Crimea were destroyed by fire in the Black Sea.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported that the Russian boats were destroyed by the Group 13 special forces unit using Ukrainian Magura V5 maritime strike drones. The successful special operation was made possible with the support of the United24 global platform.
Ukrainian intelligence officers noted that to neutralize the maritime strike drones on the approach to the Narrow Bay, the Russian occupiers in Crimea took combat aircraft into the sky 32 times, including Su-27/30/35, MiG-29, Be-12, An-26, and Ka-27/29 and Mi-8 helicopters. The invaders also randomly used small arms and 30 mm cannons.
