On the morning of May 25, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Loud sounds were heard over Novofedorivka, where the military airfield of the Russian invaders is located.

Also, after the explosions, smoke rose in the area of the airfield. This was reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.

The monitoring channel noted that the Saky military airfield is located in Novofedorivka. The 43rd Fighter Aviation Regiment is based there, which is the backbone of the aviation group supporting Russian troops in southern Ukraine. The regiment is armed with Su-24 bombers and Su-30 fighters.

Smoke rose over Novofedorivka after the explosions. Eyewitnesses have not yet reported any other details of the incident.

At the same time, Kremlin propagandists claimed that "grass is burning" in the area of Novofedorivka. Also, according to the legend of the Russian media, the fire started because of a broken cable.

"Saky district – most likely another cable break, held together with tape and snot. This caused the grass to catch fire in strong winds. The area of Saky is Novofedorivka," Russian propaganda writes.

It is worth noting that the occupiers blocked a part of the highway in the direction of Saky after the explosions. Many vehicles are turning around and driving in the opposite direction.

As a reminder, on the night of May 24, explosions were heard in many cities of the temporarily occupied Crimea. The invaders complained that they had been hit by ballistic missiles, and the Russian Defense Ministry later said that they had "shot down" three ATACMS missiles and three marine drones.

Earlier it was reported that on May 19, explosions were also heard in the occupied Crimea. "Cotton" visited Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, Saky, Dzhankoy, Perevalne, and Armiansk. The illegally built Crimean bridge was also blocked.
