Explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea on Tuesday, 1 August. It is likely that the Russian invaders in Sevastopol have been visited by "cotton".

This was reported in local Telegram channels. According to local residents, the explosions occurred in the area of the Sevastopol Thermal Power Plant, which is located near Saharnaya Golovka. There are also military depots in the area.

"By the sound of it, it was not a rocket in the sky, but somewhere on the ground," Sevastopol residents said.

The explosion was heard in particular on Zhovtneva Revolyutsiia and Generala Ostryakova avenues.

After the explosions, a fire brigade left Balaklava for the Yalta ring.

The so-called governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozzhayev, said that the occupiers had allegedly shot down a drone.

"According to preliminary data, a UAV was shot down in the Kara Koba area. There was an explosion on the ground, grass and bushes caught fire. Fire crews are already at the scene and have started extinguishing the fire," he wrote.

OSINT Status-6 geolocated the explosion site as military unit 63876-R, the arsenal of the 758th Logistics Centre of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

To recap, Russia said that on the night of 1 August, the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly attacked ships of the Black Sea Fleet. In particular, the patrol vessels Sergei Kotov and Vasily Bykov were allegedly attacked by three unmanned naval boats.

In addition, Russians again complained about the explosions in Moscow that took place on the night of 1 August. Several drones allegedly attacked the Russian capital, and one of them again flew into the Moscow City business centre.
