"DIU knows how to stir up the information space": Zelenskyy hints at Crimean bridge's fate
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy hinted at the fate of the Crimean bridge illegally built by Russia in the temporarily occupied Crimea. He assured that the Main Intelligence Directorate "knows how to stir up the information space."
The head of state said this during a press conference in Kyiv on August 27, answering questions from OBOZ.UA. He was speaking to journalists at the Forum "Ukraine 2024. Independence".
The OBOZ.UA correspondent reminded Zelenskyy of the statement by the head of the DIU Kyrylo Budanov that the Crimean bridge would be destroyed "sooner or later." She asked the president to at least hint when the illegal structure might cease to exist.
Hearing the question, the head of state laughed.
"The DIU knows how to stir up the information space. It is true. This is what I think. if we want something to happen, sooner or later, we need to make it happen and then say so," Zelenskyy said.
To recap, during the press conference, the president also said that the Kursk operation is one of the points of Ukraine's victory plan.
According to Zelenskyy, this plan is already ready. In September, it will be presented to U.S. President Joe Biden, as well as to both candidates for his successor, Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump.
