Danilov warned that there could be breakthroughs in a number of other regions of the Russian Federation

Residents of areas of Russia adjacent to the border with Ukraine, as well as other regions, will become active and may organize protests until the conflict between the two countries is resolved. At the same time, insecurity will be felt in every corner of the Russian Federation.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said this in a TV marathon. Journalists asked Danilov about the possibility of similar incidents, similar to the one that occurred in Belgorod region, in other regions of Russia.

"The Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh regions, other regions - they cannot be safe given that the number of Russian citizens who are against that regime, of course, they can stand up for protests anywhere in Russia. Moreover, I am certain that this will be an ongoing process until we win," said Danilov.

It is noteworthy that the statement of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council was made at a time when the operation of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Legion of Freedom of Russia in the Belgorod region was taking place. According to the fighters of these units, they did not encounter any resistance from the local population during their actions.

- On May 23, Russia announced a new "sabotage and reconnaissance group" attack on the Belgorod Region. According to Ukrainian intelligence sources, Russia wanted to deploy additional troops there.

- It also became known that the Ukrainian military was not involved in the operation in the Belgorod region, and that the RVC and the Russian Freedom Legion had suffered minor losses.
