In an interview with the SportArena YouTube channel, Dynamo's top scorer last season said that he did not want to humiliate Monzul herself. According to Vanat, he was very upset about the fiasco in the home match with the team from Petrov and succumbed to emotions.

"I'll tell you how it was from the very beginning. It was after the match with Ingulets - I came out on emotion, young, hot, stupid. It's all understandable, I said a lot of things... Immediately afterwards, I went to visit my family and realised that I had said something stupid. I was ashamed of myself even then. I want to apologise for those words. I am not a sexist, I respect and love women. So I have no problem with this. I apologise, of course, and would like to close this topic. There is no point in talking about it anymore," Vladyslav said.
