Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) and American Devin Haynie (29-0, 15 KOs) will fight for the WBO lightweight title. At the same time, our compatriot will have to be much more active than his opponent.

According to Boxing News 24, former champion of the world Chris Algieri stated this opinion in his interview for ProBoxTV. According to him, Lomachenko is a very strong opponent in terms of physical strength, and in any case, he must not stagnate in front of Haynie, but the Ukrainian will have his natural weight on his side.

"In theory, it's going to be a war. None of the fighters are belligerent, but frankly, if anyone wants to start a war, it's Lomachenko. He can't stay the distance against the much bigger and taller Haynie. We saw the difference in size and height at the press conference. We also know about the difference in arm span. But Lomachenko doesn't need to race the weight, while Haynie drops a lot of weight. This may be the last time we'll see Devin in the lightweight division. Not because he doesn't want to stay here, but because he can't anymore," said Algieri.

The fight between Devin and Vasily will take place on May 20 in American Las Vegas. OBOZREVATEL will hold an online broadcast of the fight Lomachenko - Haynie. Tentative beginning - at 6:00 on Sunday, May 21, Kyiv time.

Earlier it became known that in Ukraine they refused to broadcast Lomachenko - Haynie fight. The company Megogo also provided the reasons for such a step. Our boxing fans reacted violently to such a decision. It was also revealed how much the Ukrainian will earn for the fight.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, former world champion in two weight categories Paul Malignaggi ripped Devin Haynie because of his words about Vasyl Lomachenko. The Ukrainian boxer himself addressed the fans and caused a violent reaction from his compatriots.
